XN-9000 Sorting & Archiving
Powerful sample management for efficient processing
- Flexible configuration of XN analysis modules
- Discrete rack management
- Built-in auto reflex
- Flexible rack entry and exit positions, also possible as single point of entry/exit
The Sorting and Archiving configuration is best suited to labs with a high workload during routine hours and whose samples having similar order profiles. It's also great for labs with archiving and/or sorting needs.
The XN-9000 consists of up to nine XN modules that you can tailor to your own laboratory needs. Sorting & Archiving is a flexible configuration. It consists of XN analysis modules, our SP-10 slide maker/stainer, the DI-60 digital imaging module and either the TS-10 or TS-10 Up* tube sorter at the end. It optimises workflows from cell counting via smear preparation to morphology analysis and sorts EDTA tubes intelligently according to your needs.
The XN-9000 can analyse both routine haematology testing and specialty samples. This depends on the clinical value applications you include on your analysis modules. See clinical values for details.
Samples that need a smear are processed automatically by the slide maker/stainer, followed by digital imaging. Using an adaptive smear technique and proprietary staining reagents, smears are of excellent quality even with highly pathologic samples.
Smears are only initiated if they offer additional diagnostic value. The analysis profile is extended automatically to include smear-making/staining and morphology analysis. But you can also order it up front – whatever your needs.
The tube sorter reduces turnaround time significantly. After processing by the analysis modules, it rapidly delivers pre-sorted tubes for subsequent work areas. Tubes are sorted for additional tests, such as HbA1c or erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) in dedicated sorting areas.
*TS-10 Up: Without exchanging the TS-10 instrument, you can roughly double the sorting speed and capacity using a dedicated upgrade kit. Without losing your initial investment you therefore remain flexible – whether your daily workload increases or you need greater sorting capacity due to additional, increasingly complex test requests.
Extended IPU
The Extended IPU, as an integrated component of all XN-9000 configurations, controls the complete order management for the EDTA tubes. This automation and optimisation of the workflow process with rack management and tube registration means each individual EDTA tube is fully traceable. It also consolidates sample requirements – all EDTA tests can be performed from a single sample tube, which eliminates the need to retake blood from a patient.
