UF-4000/UF-5000
Fully Automated Urine Particle Analyser
- Modular concept for a fully automated urinalysis workflow
- Rule out UTI in less than a minute
- Body fluid mode always on board
- Blue laser for better differentiation of particles
Powerful diagnostics combined with a modular and scalable design
The UF-4000/UF-5000 represents the latest in urinalysis technology, providing sensitive and fast urinary particle analysis that relies on thousands of particles counted and classified from native urine samples. Through modular and scalable design, it can be a valuable addition to your laboratory as either a standalone analyser or integrated into our modular UN-Series as part of a fully automated urinalysis solution.
Discover the expansive capabilities of our advanced technology
Sysmex’s fluorescence flow cytometry (FFC) technology uses tools like the 488nm blue laser and depolarised side scatter light to achieve superior particle differentiation and high counting reliability, increasing the amount of diagnostic information that can be extracted from samples.
Rule out UTIs in less than a minute
The UF-4000/5000 has a positive impact on laboratory workflows, with the high negative predictive value of its bacteria count providing the diagnostic support information needed for a fast, direct rule-out of urinary tract infections. In addition, in bacteriuric samples, the 'BACT Info' flag (RUO) can provide information about the Gram status that may aid in more targeted follow-up diagnostics via urine culture. These diagnostic capabilities can support the reduction of antibiotic over-prescription, representing an important contribution to antimicrobial stewardship in the context of UTI.
Integrated body fluid mode
Available at the flick of a switch, this setting eliminates the need for sample pre-treatment and delivers nine parameters for various body fluids. Here, the availability of a count for white blood cells and their differentiation into PMN and MN provides useful diagnostic support information for the detection and exclusion of infectious and inflammatory conditions. In particular, the bacterial cell count supports the detection or exclusion of bacterial infections.
Find your perfect match
Although the UF-4000/UF-5000 can be used as an excellent standalone analyser, it truly lives up to its potential as an integral part of the UN-Series in a fully automated configuration. From opening samples with our TH-11 Urine Sample Decapper Unit to efficient, centralised data handling with the Urinalysis Work Area Information Management System (U-WAM), this urinalysis solutions offers a new level of workflow efficiency. Through the modularity of the UF-4000/UF-5000, you can easily combine the UF-4000/UF-5000 with other members of the UN-Series like the UC-3500 and UD-10.
