Pannoramic DESK II DW
Pannoramic DESK II DW – even faster and more flexible
- New: Scan double-width slides
- Small footprint
- High-speed scanning
- Automatic tissue detection and scanning
For years now, the Pannoramic DESK has established itself as a cost-effective, reliable bright-field scanner for light scanning workloads. This new generation features state-of-the-art camera and illumination technology, enhancing its image quality, resolution and scan speed once again. Offering proven advantages – namely a compact footprint, simple operation and an affordable price – the Pannoramic DESK II is particularly attractive for frozen section analysis and small-scale laboratories.
Quality
The compact Pannoramic DESK II offers the same exceptional image quality as the other members of the Pannoramic scanner family. These scanners have won numerous awards at the Berlin-based Charité’s International Scanner Contest in the Throughput and Image Quality categories.
Flexibility
In addition to standard slides, the Pannoramic DESK II DW is also able to scan double-width slides. This opens up new areas of application, such as neuroscience or toxicological pathology, where it is necessary to scan large-area sections as a whole. It is therefore possible, for instance, to scan in complete prostate sections.
Software
Pannoramic control software – included
The Pannoramic control software is the user interface that controls your Pannoramic slide scanner. This software supports your daily work processes and the handling of the Pannoramic DESK II.
To optimise the workflow, all scanners automatically detect the specimen, focus on the tissue and create a preview on the screen. A photograph of the slide label is also created or its barcode is read. This supports archiving, saves time and reduces costs.
- Easy to use
- Choice of manual or automatic scan mode
- Automatic tissue detection
- Automatic focus
- Photograph of the slide label for documentation
- Optional barcode detection
CaseViewer – included
The CaseViewer is pre-installed on the computer linked to the slide scanner. This software not only allows you to view the digitised tissue specimen, but also offers a wide range of processing options. You can create markings, add comments and view several tissue specimens in parallel in different stainings, to name but a few of the features. To put it simply, the CaseViewer is your gateway to the world of virtual pathology.
