Test Engineer (f/m/x) – Clinical Diagnostics Software
Your responsibilities
As Test Engineer (f/m/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions Division you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our diagnostics software products through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and specifications
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on healthcare software applications
- Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using appropriate tools
- Collaborate with developers, requirements engineers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality
- Automate test cases and maintain test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve issues
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality standards are met
- Monitor and report on test progress, coverage, and results to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and healthcare technology
Your profile
- Academic degree in software engineering, bio-/medical technology or related field with strong IT affinity
- Proven experience in test engineering, methodologies, and tools (e.g. ISTQB certificate)
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
- Strong understanding of agile / lean methodologies, and healthcare industry standards / regulations
- Knowledge of in-vitro diagnostics, workflow automation, interoperability, data analytics, clinical decision support
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English fluent)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive personality with passion for digital transformation and continuous learning as role evolves with technological advancements and market changes
