YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Delivering all pre-tender business development activity. This may include additional 3rd party business areas in order to support your Sysmex MSC bids. This is a varied and challenging role that requires you to fully understand the needs of your client and for you to lead the pre sales activity required to demonstrate and convince your client of Sysmex’s ability to meet those needs.
• Contributing to the development of winning bid strategies for all networks and accounts, including route to market strategy through Sysmex Direct MSCs and relevant frameworks. There are numerous routes to market you will be expected to become familiar with all and work with external stakeholders to ensure that they are able to secure Sysmex business through the appropriate channel in order to meet their needs.
• Responsible for the quality of the financial and technical tender responses for all of your bids whether the bid is direct or through another Primary MSC provider. You will be expected to lead the bids team to deliver a bid that meets the needs of the client. You will additionally work diligently with detail, complying with all of our business standards to produce accurate bids without exposing Sysmex to any unidentified risks. You will seek approval for anything that exceeds your limit of empowerment or authority, but being confident that if you present a robust business case supported by accurate data you are likely to win the approval to proceed.
• Responsible for delivery of operational excellence in post-sales customer service and support for your accounts. You will act as the main point of contact for customer issues, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and where necessary holding internal stakeholders to account to deliver for the customer. You will deliver quarterly business reviews into your MSC contracts and other identified contracts. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of business and KPI reports. You will be responsible ensuring customer annual purchase orders are secured in a timely manner and that any quotes, usage reports or batch hold or standing orders reports are generated in order for you or your customer to make any necessary adjustments to the service delivery.
• Managing sales performance for your business. You will provide a detailed forecast for your business which you will update real time and submit monthly. You will be expected to review your performance against your business target (budget).
• Support your Regional Commercial Manager in the delivery of the strategy with timely updates/reports of business progress, feedback from customers and the market and the reporting of any external factors that may influence our business or the manner in which we continue to achieve success.
• Build effective relationships with key influencers for business procurement decisions.
• Responsible for delivering the pre and post sales activities that drive both our Sysmex Haem and Coagulation business but also all of the other associated businesses such as ESR, HbA1C and other third party business.
• Pre-emptive lobbying and positioning of the Sysmex value propositions to influence the development of tenders.
• Proactively contribute to the development of our route to market through development of the Sysmex Direct MSC and relevant frameworks.
• Responsible for delivering on the agreed bidding strategy for each Pathology Network.
• Continually look for opportunity, take an entrepreneurial view of any situation and look to deliver value.
• Feedback on any developments in the market that may impact on our business. This feedback may help develop future tactical or strategic business decisions.
• Deputise for the Regional Commercial Manager and other commercial team members as required.
• Responsible for stakeholder management associated with the business to deliver the needs of the region.
• To work responsibly and collaboratively with all internal stakeholders and regional team members to successfully deliver on agreed plans.
• Advocate for their regional requirements at all levels of SUK structure.
• Hold to account those responsible for Sysmex Service delivery in your territory.
As well as a number of other responsibilities.
• Holds a full UK driving license.
• Previous experience in Key Account Management in the In Vitro Diagnostics industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a direct sales role involving complex sales/tenders in the diagnostics arena.
• Life science degree or equivalent.
• General knowledge of MS Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated / self-starter.
• Negotiation and influencing skills.
