Senior Category Buyer (f/m/x) Logistics

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute a robust strategy for the Logistics & Packaging category, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers, drive initiatives, lead negotiations, and oversee sourcing processes. Act as the primary escalation point when issues arise.
  • Support and drive regional growth by ensuring the category strategy adapts to diverse market needs.
  • Implement cost reduction programs and efficiency initiatives to enhance overall performance.
  • Continuously optimize the supplier portfolio and implement strategies to mitigate risks within the logistics and packaging sectors.

Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Category Buyer or in a similar procurement role, with a demonstrated track record in successful category management.
  • Solid background in logistics, including freight, storage, packaging, regulatory compliance (import/export, dangerous goods), network analysis, and risk management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in managing complex supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Act with a high level of independency
  • Close collabotration skills with the stakeholders.
Nice to have's:
  • Familiarity with quality and environmental standards, specifically ISO 9001, 13485, and 14001.
  • Basic knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards such as Ecovadis, SBTi, and PPWR.
  • PMI education or certification is highly valued.
  • Experience in healthcare or IVD sectors is preferred.
