Quality Assurance Engineer (f/m/x) – Clinical Diagnostics Solutions

Your responsibilities

As Quality Assurance Engineer (f/m/x) in our Digital Lab Solutions Division you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our diagnostics software products through rigorous requirements analysis and automated testing processes to meet customer needs, business objectives, and internal performance indicators. 
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to analyse and document detailed software requirements to create clear and concise specifications, including use cases, user stories, and functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that requirements are understood and implemented correctly 
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide input on system design, testability and quality standards 
  • Conduct requirement verification and validation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure requirements are met 
  • Automate test cases and maintain test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency 
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve issues 
  • Monitor and report on test progress, coverage, and results to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and healthcare technology 
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery 

Your profile

  • Academic degree in software engineering, bio-/medical technology or related field with strong IT affinity 
  • Several years of experience in requirements and test engineering, methodologies, and tools (e.g. IREB, ISTQB certificate) 
  • Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) 
  • Strong understanding of agile / lean methodologies, and healthcare industry standards / regulations 
  • Broad knowledge of in-vitro diagnostics, workflow automation, interoperability, data analytics, clinical decision support  
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and a good understanding of technical and business contexts 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • High degree of teamwork and willingness to cooperate in order to work successfully in interdisciplinary teams 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English fluent) 
  • Proactive personality with passion for digital transformation and continuous learning as role evolves with technological advancements and market changes
