Account Manager & Product Specialist Finland with responsibility for clinical flow cytometry, haemostasis, diabetes diagnostics, and possible new business areas like Gene Technology or Point-of-Care. 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced salesperson who has a passion for and solid understanding of laboratory workflows as well as hands-on experience in clinical flow cytometry or coagulation in a clinical laboratory. You are somehow experienced within sales with a track record of results and a passion for diagnostics, or a bioengineer who wants to use your knowledge and learn consultative sales! 

Account Manager & Product Specialist Finland

Your responsibilities

As an Account Manager & Product Specialist, you will be a part of the Sysmex Nordic Finland’s Sales team. In your work as an Account Manager & Product Specialist, you are responsible for developing the existing customer group and for creating new sales opportunities. Mainly, you will work with sales to new Sysmex customers and ensure that they are satisfied with our products. Part of the daily work will also be to create new business opportunities.

You are the knowledge base for the products towards your customers and you are responsible for providing them with support and keeping them updated so that they can carry out their daily work and develop optimally with their Sysmex products. You create loyalty and establish Sysmex as a ‘preferred supplier’ in new business areas in accordance with the “Sysmex Way”. 

The person in this role will be responsible for working in collaboration with all the commercial functions of Sysmex, including sales, IT, and marketing to ensure that the value proposition is effectively understood by all stakeholders as well as being effectively communicated to customers. As part of the Finland’s Sales team, you will develop an active collaboration with colleagues in the Nordics, to reach our common goals.

MAIN TASKS

  • Support the Finnish Sales organisation with expert knowledge and experience
  • Contribute to and support the sales activities in Sysmex Nordic Finland and support the team to attain budgeted sales and profit 
  • Support the strategic initiatives that have been decided for the Nordic markets
  • Focus on customer needs to provide value to our customers’ laboratory workflow and patient care
  • Support and influence alignment, consistency and flexibility in the activities and messages around your product portfolio to maximise growth and secure retention
  • Identify the customer's challenges in the business and ensure that they get the best solution
  • Be the expert for the market around your product line
  • Work with all customer stakeholders (doctors, chemists, biomedical laboratory scientists, hospital IT, medical technical staff) with the goal of providing qualitative and sales-oriented consultation
  • Organise and conduct customer trainings, customer events and workshop activities
  • Participate in and contribute to tender processes
  • Provide application support and guidance for analytical platforms to ensure optimal results together with our other Nordic colleagues
  • Actively contribute to a well-functioning collaboration between sales, service and the ICS team focusing on added value for the customer
  • Continuously keep your know-how updated
  • Maintain our customer database with relevant information
Your profile

SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED

  • Mandatory for this role: Biomedical science background with previous experience of working with hospital laboratory environment and products and applications
  • Demonstrable experience of working effectively to support sales / business development teams deliver their performance objectives
  • Industry experience from a similar position is an advantage, but not a requirement 
  • Communication skills: Communicate with healthcare professionals of all backgrounds and educational levels. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills are must-haves 
  • Organisational skills: Comfortable juggling numerous customers and internal stakeholders, on- and off-site meetings, projects, and deadlines
  • Demonstrate good technical and logical problem-solving capability, ability to read and understand detailed scientific and technical literature
