Everything is in motion at the Medical Diagnostic Laboratory at the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical University of Łódź. The busy team consists of laboratory diagnosticians in different stages of their specialisation as well as laboratory technicians. The whole facility is still in development, so the research portfolio – including advanced haemostasis testing – will continue to grow in the future.

Taking past positive experiences into account with Sysmex’s CS-2500, the laboratory decided to expand its cooperation. They now rely on Sysmex for advanced haemostasis solutions across most laboratory diagnostic fields. Using Sysmex devices, they perform coagulation testing, blood count analysis, and general urinalysis. The Medical University positively reviewed the reliability and innovativeness of the new solutions.

The facility currently has already installed two CN-3000s with an Extended IPU for advanced coagulation testing. The laboratory team has been particularly impressed by the compactness of the CN-3000, besides its high quality, low failure rate, ease of use and the intuitive menu. The team reported being pleasantly surprised at the efficient installation process and how easy it was to adapt the rules and software to their needs.

The team also reported satisfaction with the CN-3000’s flexible vial sizes, stable, high-quality
reagents and control plasmas, which reduce waste and while still delivering reliable results.

Currently, the Medical Diagnostic Laboratory (MDL) uses only the basic menu: aPTT, PT, TT, FBG, D-D and AT3. However, the MDL plans to extend its portfolio with coagulation factors, platelet aggregation, and other speciality assays in the future. The CN-3000 offers them the necessary flexibility to grow their advanced haemostasis testing portfolio in the future if needed. *
